ASEFA LICENSES LCOE AS APPROVED LABORATORY FOR HV POWER TRANSFORMERS TESTING.

After a recent evaluation, LCOE’s High Voltage Laboratory has been licensed by ASEFA in June 2020 as an “Approved Test Laboratory” for the High Voltage Power Transformers product scope. The approval scope includes standards IEC 60076-1, IEC 60076-2, IEC 60076-3, IEC 60076-5, IEC 60076-10, IEC 60076-11, IEC 60076-13 and ENEDIS ST-25-S-27, applicable for liquid-inmersed, dry-type and self-protected liquid filled transformers. Main tests comprise, routine tests including determination of losses, temperature rise, dielectric tests, ability to withstand short-circuit and determination of sound levels.
ASEFA is an international certification body accredited by the COFRAC according to ISO 17065 as number 5-0037 for electrical products. ASEFA has approved an international network of more than 20 high-level laboratories, all accredited to ISO 17025 by an ILAC member (COFRAC, ENAC and so on). LCOE is presently recognized as and approved laboratory for certification tests of power transformers.

ENEDIS who manages 95% of the electricity distribution network in continental France issues some standards as ST-25-S-27 applicable for distribution transformers up to 24 kV. Testing according to this standard is inside the approval scope of LCOE.
Currently, LCOE is conducting many tests of power transformers, to demonstrate the eco-design requirements of Regulation 548/2014 of the European Commission modified by Regulation 2019/1783, especially taking into account the minimum requirements established in Tier 2, entry in force in July 2021 and the progressive energy losses reduction in transformers design.
