Type tests on inductive voltage transformers of hitachi abb power grids
Routine and type tests were performed on two inductive voltage transformers with highest voltage for equipment Um 123 kV and 145 kV for being installed in 50Hz or 60Hz electrical grids, manufactured by Hitachi ABB Power Grids in December 2020 and April 2021 at LCOE HV Lab.
The following type and routine tests were performed according to IEC 61869-1 and IEC 61869-3:
-Impulse voltage withstand test on primary terminals.
-Wet test for outdoor type transformer.
-Short-circuit withstand capability test.
-Test for accuracy of voltage transformer.
-Power-frequency withstand test on primary terminals.
-Partial discharges measurement.
-Power-frequency withstand test on secondary terminals.
Moreover, the following special tests were requested by the manufacturer:
-Chopped impulse test on primary terminals.
-Transmitted overvoltage test.
-Capacitance and tangent delta measurement.
