Evolución del marco legal aplicable a la metrología para estaciones de carga de vehículo eléctrico a partir de la Directiva europea 2026/706
25 mayo 2026
The Foundation for the Promotion of Industrial Innovation (FFII), through the High Voltage Technology Center of LCOE, participated in the international workshop “Ricerca alla Granda”, held on May 27, 2026, in Cuneo, Italy. The event formed part of the closing activities of the European metrology projects ADMIT and e-TRENY.
The event was organized by Domenico Giordano of the Italian National Institute of Metrology (INRIM), and brought together several European national metrology institutes, research centers, industry stakeholders, and standardization bodies. The meeting provided a platform to discuss the latest advances in electrical energy measurement in railway systems and power grids operating under dynamic conditions.
On behalf of FFII-LCOE, Ángel Ramírez, head of R&D at LCOE-CTAT, presented a paper entitled “Calibration of Current Transformers and Sensors up to 2 kA and 150 kHz” explaining the development and validation of different generation and measurement systems for calibrating current transformers and current sensors across extended frequency ranges. The presentation also showcased some of the most significant developments and results obtained within the ADMIT project.
FFII-LCOE's contribution falls within the framework of advanced metrology research activities aimed at ensuring traceability and accuracy in the measurement of electrical quantities under dynamic conditions, a key aspect for applications such as the electrification of railway systems and energy analysis in modern electrical systems.
Participation in this workshop reinforces FFII-LCOE's role as the designated metrology institute in Spain for high-voltage and high-current magnitudes and consolidates its contribution to European research projects focused on improving measurement capabilities in smart grids and energy transmission systems.
