LCOE-CTAT at CIGRE Paris session 2026

From 23 to 28 August, LCOE High Voltage Technological Center took part in the CIGRE Session 2026, held at the “Palais des Congrès de Paris”, one of the world’s leading events for power system experts, utilities, manufacturers, and research organizations.

The week was an excellent opportunity to reconnect with long-standing clients, establish relationships with new contacts, and engage in productive meetings focused on future projects involving testing and calibration services. These exchanges reaffirmed LCOE’s commitment to supporting the electric power industry with high-quality measurement, testing, and metrology solutions.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of a technical poster jointly developed with Arteche within the framework of the activities of CIGRE Study Committee C4 “Power System Technical Performance”. The poster focused on the frequency characterization of instrument transformers and dividers, comparing two methodologies; the use of harmonics superimposed on the fundamental wave and the alternative frequency-sweep method cited in the IEC 61869-1 standard.

These test methods were used by LCOE to validate an electronic accessory, the Harmonic Voltage Measurement Adapter Card known as HVMAC. Developed by ARTECHE, this device is installed on the terminal block of CVTs to improve the frequency response of conventional capacitive voltage transformers.

Throughout the congress, LCOE representatives also participated in technical discussions, attended specialized workshops and poster sessions, and exchanged knowledge with experts from around the world.

CIGRE 2026 was a highly rewarding experience, marked by numerous professional contacts, promising business opportunities, and inspiring technical discussions.
