LCOE-CTAT at CPEM2026

On 11 September, a delegation of participants in the 2026 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM 2026) visited LCOE’s laboratories at its Tecnogetafe facilities.
Upon arrival, the visitors were welcomed by LCOE Director Pascual Simón, who gave them an overview of LCOE and F2i2.
Following this introductory session, the group embarked on a tour of LCOE’s main laboratories. The visit began at the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Laboratory, where its head, Javier Sánchez Sanz, presented the facilities and explained the testing services offered by the area.
Next, Jesús Sánchez Pando, Head of Low Voltage, accompanied the group on a tour of the IP and IK protection rating testing laboratories, the Electrical Safety Laboratory, and the Photometry and Colorimetry Laboratory.
The visit continued at LCOE’s High Voltage Technology Centre (CTAT). Tomás García, Director of CTAT, and Paula Cid, Head of Testing and Calibration, guided the participants through the High and Medium Voltage halls, showcasing the different testing areas. The tour concluded with a visit to the Special Testing and R&D area, led by its head, Ángel Ramírez.
Finally, Julio San Millán, Head of New Facilities, accompanied the group on a visit to LCOE’s experimental photovoltaic installation.
The visit gave participants the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into LCOE’s technical capabilities and main areas of activity.
